Gilder Lehrman Affiliate

Beaufort County Early College High School was recently named a Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History affiliate. As a result of being chosen for this prestigious program, BCECHS students will have access to over 60,000 primary resources in the Gilder Lehrman collection and opportunities to participate in web chats with eminent historians. 

Amanda Hilliard Smith, a social studies teacher at BCECHS, has participated in Gilder Lehrman sponsored programs in the past. “It’s a real honor to be apart of a network of schools across the country who are encouraging students to take part in historical research,” said Smith.  

Gilder Lehrman is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing historical resources to students and teachers across the country.
