National History Day Competition
Beaufort County Early College High School students participated
in the school’s third annual National History Day (NHD) competition on Dec. 5,
2014. Students taking Ms. Amanda Smith’s World History class choose a
historical topic and constructed projects using primary resources related to
this year’s theme Leadership and Legacy. The student’s projects were judged by
Laura Ketcham, the State Coordinator for NHD; Dr. Chad Ross, the District
Coordinator for NHD; and Keith Lyon, Beaufort County Community College World
History professor.
The following students won their project category and
will go on to compete at the district competition at ECU in April.
